Please accept these words of condolence, be they only words. I have not been able to stop thinking about John's death and the loss of such a magnificent person. I, a 42 year old man, have followed his life all of my life, and am so terribly sorry for you, his sister, who loved him dearly.

I just finished watching you speak so eloquently on stage at the Democratic Convention, and I can't help believe, that John would be there beside you if he could. My father passed away 4 days before Johns terrible death. Perhaps that is what causes me to feel an ache in my heart everytime I see a picture of John in the press...or maybe its just that although I never met John, I feel as if I grew up with him, as so many americans do. As the anniversary of Johns death is upon us, it sickens & saddens me to see all these stories about problems he and his wife may have had. Who does not have problems in life? Who is above normal everyday stress? Why is it newsworthy to tell of problems that we have no real knowledge of? I don't understand why the press continues to make false statements about a man so special as John. I for one do not care what his troubles were. I will never believe anything about him other than he was an awesome man, a wonderful husband & someone that was taken from us far too early. My heart goes out to both the kennedy & bessette families... They live forever within us, taken but never forgotten

On my very first visit to New York City, I saw a truely radiant person. As I sat in the taxicab stuck in traffic I turned my head to see the most elegant person I believe I had ever laid my eyes upon. Jacket slung over shoulder and leaning on a crutch he hobbled into cab. Just before entered he turned and smiled at me. That person was JFK Jr. He forever altered my life at that moment. A few weeks later I sat stunned staring at my television as I heard the news. My heart broke along with the rest of America's at that moment. I stayed up following the progress, and cried when I heard the final news. I know nothing compares to your loss, and for that I am truely and deeply sorry. America morns with you as the anniversary is approaching. My heart goes out to anyone who knew him and the two sisters. You are in my prayers as you go through the pain all over again. You are both such wonderful families and I am so sorry you had to experience such pain. May God Bless You during this time and all the time to come.

To the Kennedy Family, I was 14 years old when President Kennedy was killed,I have followed the trials and tribulations of the family. You have had so much pain, however you have also had an equal amount of courage and faith. I know that all of the deceased family members are in heaven now and we (Christians) will see them again.. Being a white mississippian where the Kennedys were thought of as lovers of the black race, I am so blessed that I am not included in the hate of that element in Mississippi. Just recently a friends family moved into the James Eastland home in the Mississippi and we know that President Kennedy stayed there several days. John F. Kennedy, Jr. will be missed. I don't know of any other human being that tried as hard as he did to be kind and generous to strangers. It appeared to be his nature to transcend racial, social-economic, religious, and cultural barriers when reaching out to other humans.

He will be missed by me and millions of people like me who did not know him personally, but we recognized his kind deeds. This is not say any of us thought he was perfect, he was just perfectly kind and gracious. I think his parents would have been very proud of him. I have friends living in John's neighborhood and they would report his many kind acts and deeds (for example holding the door for women and not allowing resturant workers to place him before others).

For the remaining Kennedy's, my advice is this...... know that there is nothing as important as family. We all pray for each and every one of you.

What can I say that hasn't already been voiced?

Just that the world is definitely a lesser place without their beauty, intelligence, compassion and amazing presence.

Good and decent people who were loved and respected by those who knew them. I have cried a thousand tears for them and I didn't even know them.

I pray for their families - their grief is surely unimaginable.

I will never forget John Kennedy Jr. just as I hhave never forgotten his father and his uncle Robert. I had hopes and dreams for that boy!! I so proud of the man he was and so happy when he married Carolyn (wasn't she unique and lovely and full of life?!).

Lauren - from what I have read of her - was just as unique. She accomplished so much in her few years.

My deepest sympathies to the Bessette family and the Kennedy family. Words just cannot express the loss I know you are feeling and the loss that I too feel.

John for the most part is whom I was interested in mainly for the fact that his persona is a reflection of myself. I had always wanted to meet him and I guess I never will. May he rest in peace knowing that he will always be remembered.

Carolyn was a lovely girl, I was happy with his choice. I hope that her and Lauren will rest in eternal peace. In some ways again Carolyn reminded me of myself. Her sense of style, elegance and just her kindness.

From whant I have read on Lauren, she was bright, smart and very well thought of, I am extremely sorry for her loss to the Bassette's as well.

I will always remember John, Carolyn and Lauren; remembering their goodness an inspiration for all.

I lost my Dad in May, and it was not sudden; but nevertheless the loss and having to watch him die was very painful and difficult experience. You never get over it. Cherish the memories always.

What a sad day when we learned of the plane missing. We were praying so hard that they had gotten out alive somehow, and were safe. God had a plan for them all. It was too soon for them to leave this earth but they are now in heaven and looking down on us. They are saying don't cry - we are safe with God; do not worry anymore. I'm very sorry for the tragedy which happened 2 weeks ago!

I was very sad about the death of John-John, Carolyn and Lauren! I got tears in my eyes! I couldn't believe it!

I haven't heard anything about John F. Kennedy Jr. but I had a feeling that he had been a nice guy! From the first moment I saw John I liked him!

John, tu était trés joli et 'sympa'! Je t'aime! John-John, I love you! You was the hope for America's future!!!

Carolyn and Lauren, you looked very pretty!

It is very horrible what the Kennedy-Family had to stand for tragedies! From John F. Kennedy to John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife and Lauren!

I think a lot about the death! I'm afraid of this moment!

What's with all this public grief? What did the guy ever do for anyone other than his rich friends and family? Don't be fooled by the media people, the heroes are the regular people who have to work every day. Let's not idolize the rich. Honestly what did John Jr ever do for the poor, or the oppressed? What did he ever say that changed the way people thought? What I think is sad is seeing all these condolences from people who know nothing more of him than that he was famous. I grow up in the Philippines, moved here in Tennessee in July 1992, and married David, a native of East Tennessee. I have heard so many things about the Kennedy Family, and learn more about this beautiful and respected family. It has been hard on me and my family when we heard about the tragedy. We were all hoping that they all come out okey, but then watching the burial at sea, I still hope that he is still somewhere that he's coming home with his wife and sister-in-law. Too young too soon! I never met John Kennedy Jr but I feel like I've known him my whole life. He was 2 1/2 when I was born. I feel for Caroline who lost her father, mother, and brother. I feel for the parents of the Bessette girls, this time has got to be especially hard for them. Life is just not fair sometimes! I think all of America has these two families on their minds and in their hearts .They had their whole lives ahead of them and it's a real tragedy to have them cut short, so fast. If only they drove, or took a boat, or waited until the next morning. I am glad the bodies have been recovered so they can all be layed to rest. Maybe you can find comfort in the fact that people around the world suffer everyday. John, Carolyn and Lauren had very comfortable lives. It is sad. Tragic deaths always are. Be thankful that they were healthy, happy and living in the western hemisphere. After all, we all die.

I never met John Jr., but I feel very saddened about his death. As well as the death of his wife Carolyn,and sister-in-law Lauren. Growing up I always remember hearing about the Kennedys and how great they were/are. I am only 21 but by way of this education I became greatly inspired about the issues of public service. In fact,without the Kennedy family, I wouldn't have made the progress I have in my life,I'm disabled and without the Kennedy involvement in civil rights,I may not have been fairly included in many things. I admire and indentify with John Jr. I know what its like to be in a large Catholic family, and being watched by many people. I also lost much at an early age,but no where near as much as John did, he handled it all with more grace and class than anyone I've seen. Due in part, to the Kennedy civil rights involvement, I have made many changes in my decisions about my carrer I've decided to become a human interest journalist. I will use my work to advocate and raise awareness about civil rights and many other things. I admired John so much for his joy for life and presistence. He could've just rested on his laurels and lived a life of riches and whimsy, but he acheived many things in his all too short life and in many ways helped others by doing so. He and Carolyn were a beautiful pair. I hope he, Carolyn, and Lauren are at peace. God Bless the Kennedys and Bessettes, my prayers and thoughts are with each of them. John, Carolyn, and Lauren take care, and I hope to see you one day in heaven,until then, may you live in the hearts of the world.

Whats really sad is the fact that the family seems under a black curse and its terrible that John jr., who spent so much of hislife trying to break through the typical Kennedy lifestlyle, had to end up following the death curse. I still can not believe that he is gone. He had the potential to accomplish such incredible things for our country. He was generous, kind, passionate, and unassuming all qualities lacking in so many in our day and age. I am only eighteen and was not alive when he was young, but he surely proved himself to me.
